  1. hello starfleet. I am posting a download link in this thread for the ultimate edition of RPG X, a total conversion mod that turns Star Trek Voyager Elite Force into a Roleplay sim where you can explore different ships and space stations that have different functionalities on each map. in addition, there is also a very impressive RPGX map called Station Asteria which is not included in the ultimate edition install by default so you will need to download it from the developers website. the map includes subsystem damage functionality and a working shuttlepod that can be launched and docked. the map is so complex that the developer needed to break it down into two separate maps, one for damage functionality and the other for shuttle functionality. 2. Greetings to you. This is interesting to say the least. I to have the fortune of going to an upcoming star trek event. there will be a convention held in Texas in April and i intend to be there. I'm also going to be at Star Trek Las Vegas for all five days and I too wish to share my findings with the fleet. Good luck to you in your endeavors, admiral.
  3. you don't need to register. Just download the game and play.
  4. It is also worth mentioning that it works for windows and runs NATIVELY on Mac so no emulators are required. as I understand it, they have made good progress on Release 2, which is called Worthy of Survival. Link to the development blog can be found here. http://www.hard-light.net/forums/index.php?topic=90564.0 There is also a mission designer included with the install and there are already user created missions available to download. link can be found here. http://www.hard-light.net/forums/index.php?board=239.0
  5. Let us not forget that this is the 50th anniversary year so it will be happy in more ways then one.
  6. Thanks for the heads up, Commander. I will be there.
  7. Greetings, Starfleet. I have been aware for some time now that there are still a great many of us in the fleet who would like to play the old Star Trek games such as Star Trek Bridge Commander and Star Trek Voyager Elite Force. Therefore, I have uploaded both of these games to google drive for all fleet members to access. Star Trek Bridge commander already has the Kobayashi Maru mod installed as well as the multiplayer fix, which will allow us to see and create multiplayer servers. Elite force already has the expansion pack installed and there are many multiplayer servers to choose from. both of these games work without a CD so all you need to do is download the file, decompress it, and click the desired EXE file (STBC.EXE for Bridge Commander and STVOY.EXE for Elite Force and STVOYHM.EXE for holomatch multiplayer). It should also be noted that you will need a program to open the archives in which the files are contained. If you are running windows, i recommend the program 7-Zip (can be found here http://www.7-zip.org/download.html)for Mac i recommend the unarchiver (can be found here http://unarchiver.c3.cx/unarchiver). In order to run these and other windows games on a Mac, you will need to download a program called Wine, which is an open source program to emulate Windows. It can be found here. http://winebottler.kronenberg.org Once you have dragged wine to the applications folder, open it. you should see a picture of a wine glass in the upper right corner of your toolbar. click it and scroll down until you see "current prefix". It should say "Wine Files", if it does then you are good to go, if it does not then you will need to create a new prefix. To do this, simply click on "change prefix" then click "add" then save the new prefix as Wine Files and save it to your desktop. Once the prefix has been created, navigate to your hard disk then go to users, then click on your user account. now simply drag the Wine Files folder into this directory. go to "change prefix" and select "wine files". now you are good to go. to launch a game, simply find the EXE file and right click on it and click open with then scroll down to find Wine. a little box will pop up saying that you are about to open a wine file. make sure that it says "run directly in users/your name/wine files" then click ok and the game should launch with no problems. Happy gaming to you all.
