NCC1701PS Posted April 10, 2018 Report Posted April 10, 2018 Funny, however i would like to take a moment to make a note about the emotional strain the actor took in order to play the role, and the personal emotional burden these parodies have placed on him. See later comment Quote
Nathan Hunter Posted April 10, 2018 Report Posted April 10, 2018 Ensign, while I am not fluent in German, I understand enough of it to know that the subtitles are not reflecting what he is actually saying in that interview. Quote
NCC1701PS Posted April 10, 2018 Report Posted April 10, 2018 oops... I guess I can now say I speak German gullibly lol... I took it at face value. In that case, I will say respect any parody as two different works of art, and recognize the talent that both the original actors as well as the parody maker put into it. Just to be clear, I was only trying to think of what public opinion has potentially done to the reputations and personal lives of actors, not to protect, promote or push any political agenda or ideal in any way. My apologies if it came across in that way or in any other offensive way. Quote
Phawn70 Posted April 10, 2018 Author Report Posted April 10, 2018 The actor you speak of Bruno Ganz addressed what you spoke about directly. He emphasized that as along as no one gets hurt he has no problem with the parodies. With that said on youtube you can get the clip with the "true" subtitles. It is some of the best work seen. Quote
Q'IStoS Posted April 10, 2018 Report Posted April 10, 2018 I actually watched the whole movie, and Bruno Ganz was absolutely AMAZING in his role! Quote
