Condemnation - Tango Fleet

Good day, StarFleet, citizens of the Federation. After much deliberation, it is the decision of the Council of Admirals, StarFleet's highest governing body, to respond to recent actions by a fellow Federation fleet. As of this moment, the Admiral's Council are officially declaring Tango Fleet as hostile due to these subsequent events: A veteran member of StarFleet was assigned to handle the relationship rebuilding between our two organizations. Said veteran was caught by agents of the StarFleet Security department quietly moving their assets to Tango Fleet's proprietary stores. This, in effect, is double clanning. These actions were committed without authorization and had been falsely backed by the veteran's statements of pre-approval by StarFleet Command and other authorities. StarFleet Command nor the director of StarFleet Diplomacy sanctioned these actions. Additionally, no officer exchange program had been agreed upon by both sovereign entities. The offending veteran was charged with the violations thereto and disciplined. The veteran requested a J.A.G. hearing for a J.A.G. court case which was likely to be granted by the bench. After a short period, the offending member elected to rescind their J.A.G. hearing request and resign. StarFleet was later offered intelligence that suggested the ex-member was fully accepted in to Tango Fleet and offered the rank of Commander. It was later understood that the ex-member was then given a senior rank of Captain within the Tango Fleet organization. The optics and timing of the situation could not be more clear and we officially condemn. All Tango Fleet dignitaries and personnel are expelled from StarFleet effective today, 1700 hours, StarFleet time. 

 

No entity, friend or foe of StarFleet should ever believe it appropriate to accept an ex-member of any institution so quickly, post-departure. The message it sends is extremely damning. More over, when you are looking to improve relations with StarFleet but engage in actions to the contrary, you define yourself. In this situation, StarFleet would have never accepted the membership of an ex-member of an organization we know of and would have encouraged thought, pause, and reflection, as we expect from them. We further admire all organizations that operate in such community standards and welcome their new relationships if they are of such caliber.
